Positive outcome for the participation in Cosmoprof 2024

25 March 2024

The participation of Aliplast in Cosmoprof 2024 has concluded successfully. This year's edition has been particularly rich in content and has seen significant participation from companies and industry operators, representing an opportunity for Aliplast to reaffirm its commitment to the cosmetic sector.

Of particular interest was the white paper produced in collaboration with Cosmetica Italia: a document containing guidelines for the design of sustainable packaging for the cosmetic sector. The theme of sustainability was more central than ever during the event, leading to the organization of numerous conferences on the topic. Among them was a panel titled "Resource revolution: investing in a circular supply chain," held on March 22, 2024, which featured Carlo Andriolo, CEO of Aliplast, among the protagonists.

"A sustainable and circular economy in the cosmetic sector is possible," said Carlo Andriolo during the conference, "but it requires significant effort from all actors in the supply chain, who must work together in a coordinated manner to achieve this common goal. Collaboration is therefore the key to success. An example of this is our partnership with the association 'Cosmetica Italia,' which led to the drafting of a white paper containing guidelines for the development of sustainable cosmetic packaging."

Andriolo also addressed the topic of metrics to be adopted to assess the contribution that companies in the sector can make in terms of reducing environmental impact:

"We operate in a context where continuous proclamations are made about how essential it is to work towards sustainability. Therefore, it is important to know precisely and punctually to what extent a product or process contributes to this goal.

We operate following the LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) methodology, which evaluates the environmental footprint of a product throughout its entire life cycle. This way, we have an objective assessment of the extent to which we contribute in terms of reducing the carbon footprint."
